EDDIE has been specifically developed to help evacuate people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Linked to a Fire Alarm it provides valuable information in the event of a Fire or other Emergency.

EDDIE is a complete Wireless Messaging solution designed to meet the requirements of BS5839-1 for Fire Detection and Alarm Systems for Buildings.

This differentiates it from standard on-site paging systems by including a whole array of safety features. The system comprises of a Controller / Transmitter and Vibrating Text Pagers worn by the Deaf or Hard of Hearing person. There is also a special Alarm Receiver Unit (ARU) that provides a visual indication and comes complete with a vibrating pillow / mattress disk for night time use.
